Holding the Bar Council’s Meeting No.3/2022

The Bar Council’s Meeting No.3/2022 was held at the Office of the Bar Council located in building no.6, Cluster-l, Nay Pyi Taw Goal Camp, Wanathidi Quarter, Zabuthiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw and H.E. Dr.Thida Oo, the Union Minister and Union Attorney General as well as the Chairperson of the Bar Council and the members of Bar Council attended the meeting.

In the meeting, H.E, Dr. Thida Oo, the Union Minister and Union Attorney General as well as the Chairperson of the Bar Council said that the Council has to discuss matters relating to lawyer-ethic misconduct and make recommendation to the Supreme Court of the Union whether action to be taken or not, and comment on whether to object or not to the 192 applicants applying for enrolment as advocates; the members should discuss research paper and the training programs to improve the qualifications of lawyers; it is necessary to make decision on the matters relating to the interpretation for the expressions of lawyer and jurist and the current places where the Notarial Stamp would be sold; the Calendar , Diary and Note Book to be published by the Bar Council and also using the software application program to charge the annual subscriptions through online system.

Then, The Union Supreme Court Judge U Myo Tint who is Vice-Chairperson of the Council, the members of the Council: the Deputy Minister and Deputy Attorney General U San Lwin, the advocates U Mya Thein, Daw Khin Nu Thar, U Hla Han, U soe Myint, U soe Thein and U Win Phyay, Director General Daw Tin Nwe Soe, Office of the Union Judiciary Supervision, the Supreme Court of the Union, Dr. Thi Thi Myint, the Secretary of the Council and Director General of the Ministry of Legal Affairs rediscussed the matters of the meeting and the Chairperson of the Council coordinated on discussions of the meeting. The meeting ended at the afternoon.
