Holding the final Coordination Meeting for the Enactment of the Rural Road Development Law(Draft)

The Coordination Meeting for the Enactment of the Rural Road Development Law (draft) was held in the meeting hall of the Ministry of Legal Affairs at 13:00 this afternoon.

The Union Minister of the Ministry of Legal Affairs and Attorney General of the Union H.E. Dr. Thida 00, the Union Minister U Hla Moe, the Deputy Minister U Myint Soe, the Permanent Secretary U Khant Zaw of the Cooperative and Rural Development Ministry, Director General of the legislative Vetting Department Dr. Thida San and responsible persons, Director General of the Rural Road Department U Soe Naing attended the meeting.

At the meeting, the Union Minister and Attorney General of the Union delivered the opening speech and the Union Minister of Cooperative and Rural Development Ministry, U Hla Moe, discussed that, the main duty of the Rural Road Department is to develop the socio-economic of the rural people, thus it needs to enact the Rural Road Development law to work effectively in building, extending, upgrading, reforming, maintaining the rural roads and extending the road-networks in accordance with the Law. And then, the Union Minister of the Ministry of legal Affairs and Attorney General of the Union H.E. Dr. T hida 00 discussed that the Rural Road Development Law (draft) is necessary to enact for the development of the living standard of rural people and finalized discussion on the law (draft) to be enacted.
