Deputy Attorney General receives Mr. Filip Lauwerysen, Executive Director of EU Traders Association

          U Win Myint, the Deputy Attorney General of the Union Attorney General’s Office received Mr. Filip Lauwerysen, executive director of the EU Chambers at the meeting hall of the Union Attorney General’s Office at 10:00 am here this morning.
In the meeting, firstly, the Deputy Attorney General explained about the process of Legislation in Myanmar and participation of the Union Attorney General’s Office in the legislative sector; then, Mr. Filip Lauwerysen discussed about the interest of traders from Europe who want to invest in Myanmar and they are observing the legal framework of Myanmar, and they want to present their recommendation for the Foreigners Law (draft). After that, the Deputy Attorney General discussed about the functions of the vetting from the Union Attorney General’s Office in relation to the Foreigners Law (draft), and the Deputy Attorney General said we will take into consideration for the submission proposal of EU Chambers in scrutinizing the draft law by the Union Attorney General’s Office.
