Students of the Department of Law from Malamyine University, observe the Union Attorney General’s Office

       The welcoming ceremony to law students led by Professor Dr. Thin Thin Maw, Head of the Department of Law from Malamyine University was held at the ground floor meeting room of the Union Attorney General ‘s Office at 10.00 a.m. here this morning.

       Firstly, the Director General U Min Swe, the Legislative Vetting and Advising Department addressed a welcoming speech. Then, the Director General Dr. Thida Oo, the Legal Advice Department explained the functions of the Division of the International and ASEAN Legal Affairs, Commercial Contracts and General Legal Advice; the Deputy Director General Daw Phyu Mar Wai , the Prosecution Department explained the functions related to tendering the pre-trial opinion, appearing in criminal and civil cases on behalf of the Union, serutinizing criminal and civil appeal cases and revision cases, appearning for Union level organizations and government departments and organizations; the Deputy Director General Dr. Swe Swe Aung, the Legislative Vetting and Advising Department explained the functions related to scrutiny of laws, rules , procedures, orders and directives and constitutional affairs; the Deputy Director General Dr. Su Su Hlaing, the Administrative Department explained the functions related to the civil service personnel affairs and inspection, budget and accounts, logistics, library/ research and training, and the functions of the Staff Office and the Myanmar Law Information System which was implemented by the Union Attorney General ‘s Office. And then, Professor Dr. Thin Thin Maw, Head of the Department of Law from Malamyine University delivered a thankful speech and took the documentary group photo, and they observed the functions of the Departments  of the Union Attorney General’s Office.
