Holding the opening ceremony of legal Advocacy training course No.1 for the heads of civil service organizations

The opening ceremony of legal advocacy training course No.1 for the heads of civil service organizations was held at the ground floor meeting room in the Ministry of Legal Affairs this morning.

At the opening ceremony, the Union Minister and Union Attorney General Dr. Thida Oo said that this course is opened under the guidance of the Chairman of the State Administration Council as the civil servant officials need to possess basic legal knowledge; the Ministry of Legal Affairs is providing various legal awareness training courses for the officers from the respective Ministry as the fulfilment of the functions of rule of law in accordance with the strategic plan “providing legal service for justice”, publishing law books and making legal research, and holding legal seminars, and it has been established Myanmar Law Information System also to disseminate legal knowledge; in this course we are planning to disseminate legal knowledge regarding with the constitutional affairs, legislative drafting, scrutiny of commercial contracts and international and ASEAN legal affairs, criminal law, civil law, special and general law; in this course, well experienced teachers and State/ Region Advocate Generals will give the lectures and make the discussions, the course will be from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. and it will take 8 weeks, the certificate of completion will be given; the legal awareness programmes will be implemented more effectively after founding the law school; and she believes that all trainees will apply the knowledge gained from this training effectively for the nation, department and social environment.

Union Minister and Union Attorney General, Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Deputy Minister and Deputy Attorney General, the officials and a total of 26 trainees, Permanent Secretaries, Director Generals and Deputy Director Generals, from the Ministry of Information, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Union Government Office (l), Ministry of Border Affairs, Ministry of Planning and Finance, Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development, Ministry of Transport and Communications, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Electricity, Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Hotel and Tourism, the Central Bank of Myanmar and the Ministry of Construction attended the opening ceremony of the training course.
