The Myanmar delegation led by the Deputy Minister and Deputy Attorney General of the Ministry of Legal Affairs attended the 5th China-ASEAN Legal Cooperation meeting held in Chongqing, the People’s Republic of China on 1st November. At the meeting, Lu Kehua, Secretary of Political and Legal Committee of Chongqing Municipal Committee, Zhang Mingqi, Vice Chairman and General Secretary of China Legal Organization, Lin Wei, Professor and Head of the Southwest University of Political Science and Law, the Supreme Court judges from Cambodia, Laos and Indonesia, legal practitioners from China and ASEAN countries and foreign scholars attended. The Ministry sent Law Officers as scholars to the Southwest University of Political Science and Law and signed the Memorandum of Understanding ( MoU) between the Ministry of Legal Affairs and the China-ASEAN Legal Research Center for Legal Cooperation and Legislative Research project in July 2023, as significant and strong legal cooperation between the Ministry of Legal Affairs and China- ASEAN Legal Research Center.
