Holding the Opening Ceremony of Legal Advocacy Training Course No.4 for the Heads of Civil Service Organizations

The opening ceremony of legal advocacy training course No.4 for the heads of civil service organizations was held at the ground floor meeting room in the Ministry of Legal Affairs this noon.

At the opening ceremony, H.E. Dr. T hida Oo , the Union Minister and Attorney General of the Union, said that this course was opend, under the guidance of the Chairman of the State Administration Council at the meeting of the Economic Affairs Committee (3/2022), for the Directors General and Deputy Directors General working in various Union Ministries and Organizations to acquire a recognized legal diploma or certificate of expertise through the study of law;

During this training, the heads of civil service organizations will acquire knowledge in various subjects, including the Constitution, legal drafting, scrutinizing commercial contracts, applying international laws and ASEAN laws, applying criminal and special laws, civil matters, and matters relating to tendering general legal advice; all these subjects will be touch by the Union Minister and Attorney General of the Union, Deputy Minister and Deputy Attorney General, Union Ministers, the Chairman and members of the Anti-Corruption Commission, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Union, members of the Constitutional Tribunal of the Union, member of the Union Civil Service Board, subject matter experts from Financial Intelligence Unit, Advocate Generals of Sagaing Region, Ayeyarwady Region, Tanintharyi Region and Rakhine State, as well as retired subject matter experts from the Ministry of Legal Affairs with extensive experienced in the legal field; the trainees who successfully completed the training will be awarded the Certificate of Legal Advocacy-CLA;

A total of 26 trainees, including Directors General, Deputy Permanent Secretaries, Commanders, Deputy Directors General, Pro-Rectors and experts from various government ministries and organizations such as the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Transport and Communications, Ministry of Planning and Finance, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, Ministry of Information, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation, Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development, Ministry of Immigration and Population, Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, Ministry of Construction, Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, Ministry of Ethnic Affairs, Union Civil Service Board, and Central Bank of Myanmar attended the training course;

This training is scheduled to open from January 31 to April 11, 2024, for 11 weeks on every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.; the trainees are required to learn and note well during the training course for practical application in their workplaces, thereby fulfilling their duties for the sake of the ministries and the State;

HE. Dr. Thida Oo, the Union Minister and Attorney General of the Union, H.E. U Myo Thant, the Union Minister of the Ministry of Construction, H.E. Jeng Phang Naw Taung, the Union Minister of the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs, H.E. Dr. Htain Lin Oo, Deputy Minister and Deputy Attorney General, H.E. U Bo Bo Kyaw, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, H.E. U Aung Myint Lwin, member of the Anti-Corruption Commission, trainees, the Heads of Department and Directors from the Ministry of Legal Affairs attended the opening ceremony and participated in the documentary photo session.
