The final coordination meeting for the enactment of the Custody and Disposal of Exhibits Law (draft) was held in the meeting hall of the Ministry of Legal Affairs at 11:30 a.m. this morning.
The Union Minister of the Ministry of Legal Affairs and Attorney General of the Union H.E. Dr. T hida Oo, the Deputy Minister and Deputy Attorney General Dr. Htain Lin Oo, the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Chief of Police, Lieutenant General Ni Lin Aung, Director General of the Legislative Vetting Department Dr. Thida San and responsible persons attended the meeting.
At the meeting, the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Chief of Police, Lieutenant General Ni Lin Aung, discussed that the purpose of drafting the Custody and Disposal of Exhibits Law is to prevent loss, deterioration or misappropriation of exhibits seized during the ongoing investigation, inquiry or trial by law enforcement organizations and courts due to natural disasters or human activities, and to be mentioned in the improvement report submitted to the Financial Action Task Force (FAT F). And then, the Union Minister of the Ministry of Legal Affairs and Attorney General of the Union H.E. Dr. Thida Oo discussed that the Custody and Disposal of Exhibits Law (draft) is necessary to enact in current conditions and finalized discussion on the Law (draft) to be enacted.
