Holding the Closing Ceremony of the Legal Advocacy Training Course No.1 for the Mid-Level Civil Service Personnel

The closing ceremony of Legal Advocacy Training Course No.1, designed for midlevel civil service personnel serving in various government departments and organizations, was held on the first floor of MOLA Lecture Hall, situated at the Legal Advocacy Centre of the Ministry of Legal Affairs, this morning.
At the closing ceremony, the Union Minister and Attorney General of the Union H.E. Dr. Thida Oo said that this training course was the first batch during the 2024 year for the Ministry of Legal Affairs; 60 trainees, who are the rank of assistant directors and staff officers, attended this training, which comprised 69 hours of teaching time and a 24-days course;
This training covered the functions and duties of the Ministry of Legal Affairs and provided necessary legal knowledge for the mid-level civil service personnel; it also lectured on the basic principles of legislative drafting, scrutinizing commercial contracts, international laws and ASEAN legal instruments, tendering general legal advice, and civil litigation;
The Legal Advocacy Center is primarily conducts legal training courses; the legal advocacy training course is being conducted to enhance the legal knowledge and support the implementing of rule of law because it is necessary for everyone to have legal knowledge; these trainings are beining conducted for the purpose of having legal knowledge for the civil service personnel according to their functions of the department;
Legal Advocacy includes publishing law books, conducting legal research, sharing legal information and providing legal training; conducting legal training is a main function;
In addition to this course, legal advocacy training courses for high-ranking civil servants and heads of civil service personnel will be opened; currently, a diploma course of the legal advocacy training will be opened; she hoped that these trainees would have the opportunity to attend the diploma course;
This training collected the evaluations from the trainees to make improvements in the future training courses in accordance with the suggestions of the trainees; she believed that the knowledge gained from this training will be applied to the State and respective departments.
At the closing ceremony, the Union Minister and Attorney General Union awarded certificates to two trainee representatives on behalf of the 60 trainees from government departments and organizations who successfully completed this training, and a representative of the trainee expressed gratitude for the opportunity to attend this training.
The Union Minister and Attorney General of the Union, the Deputy Minister and Deputy Attorney General, Directors General, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Deputy Directors General, Directors, trainers, responsible persons and the 60 trainees from the government departments and organizations attended this ceremony.
