The final coordination meeting to enact the Cyber Security Law (Draft) was held at 10:00 a.m. in the meeting hall of the Ministry of Legal Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw.
The Union Minister of the Ministry of Legal Affairs and Union Attorney General of the Union H.E. Dr. Thida Oo, the Deputy Minister and Deputy Attorney General Dr. Htain Lin Oo, the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, U Lu Mon, Dr. Thida San, the Director General of the Legislative Draft Vetting Department and other officials attended the meeting.
At the meeting, the Union Minister and Attorney General of the Union addressed an opening speech and the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Transport and Communications presented that the Cyber Security Law (Draft) was drafted and submitted to relevant government departments and organizations to get recommendations; this Cyber Security Law (Draft) was finalized in the e-Government Implementation Working Committee; this Law (Draft) was enacted to prevent the cyber resource, to secure utilizing of critical information infrastructures and electronic information, to prevent against cyber security threats, cyber-attack, cyber abuse, to improve the development of cyber security services, to enable effectively investigate and take action against cybercrimes, and to support the digital economy.
