H.E Dr. Thida Oo, the Union Minister of the Ministry of Legal Affairs and Attorney General of the Union, and responsible persons from the Ministry received H.E. Ms. Ma Jia, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar, at the Diplomatic Meeting Hall of the Ministry of Legal Affairs, Office No. 25 this afternoon.
During this meeting, H.E. Ms. Ma Jia, Ambassador of the people’s Republic of China to Myanmar, expressed her desire to further enhance legal cooperation between Myanmar and China on transnational crimes such as cyber fraud, cyber gambling and narcotic drugs, and inquired about the provisions of general elections under the Constitution. The Union Minister and Attorney General of the Union responded to the question. In addition, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar invited the Union Minister and Attorney General of the Union to visit Southwest University of the Political Science and Law in the People’s Republic of China to deliver a lecture as an honorary professor; also expressed her desire to provide necessary assistance for legal advocacy training courses and diploma courses offered by the Legal Advocacy Center. The Union Minister and Attorney General of the Union answered by expressing their gratitude for the assistance. They exchanged and discussed the entente between Myanmar and China, as well as legal affairs.
In this meeting, the Union Minister and Attorney General of the Union, along with the Deputy Minister and Deputy Attorney General, Directors General of the Ministry of Legal Affairs attended.
