The Bar Council’s Meeting No. 1/2025 was held at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Legal Affairs, Office No.25, Nay Pyi Taw at 9:00 a.m. this morning.
During the meeting, the matter relating to request from the Union Supreme Court whether there are any objections to the application for enrolment as advocates by 499 Higher Grade Pleaders, the request from the Union Supreme Court relating to advocates who violate professional conduct, the matter relating to provide the training to advocates, the matter to amend rules relating to the application for the enrolment as advocates made by the degree holders of the Post Graduate Diploma in Law (P.G.D.L), Post Graduate Diploma (DC), Online Law and B.A (Law), the matter of the application to relocate the Bar Council’s office place and the matter of the sign board of the Bar Council’s Office (Yangon Branch) were discussed and determined.
H.E. Dr. Thida Oo, the Union Minister of the Ministry of Legal Affairs and Attorney General of the Union as well as the Chairperson of the Bar Council, U Myo Tint, the Supreme Court Judge of the Union and Vice-Chairperson of the Bar Council, the members of the Bar Council, including Dr. Htain Lin Oo, Deputy Minister and Deputy Attorney General of the Union, and the officials attended the meeting.
