The Attorney General of the Union Receives Ms. Yoko KAMIKAWA, Ex-Minister of Justice And Parliament Representative of Japan

               H.E. U Tun Tun Oo, the Attorney General of the Union received a delegation led by Ms. Yoko KAMIKAWA, Ex-Minister of Justice and Parliament Representative of Japan at the meeting room of the Union Attorney General’s Office at 11:00 a.m. in this morning.
In such meeting, the Attorney General of the Union explained and discussed about formations of the Union Attorney General’s Office and different levels of Law offices, the functions and duties participated in the respective sector of legislature, executive and judiciary; the formation of pilot law offices for promoting the judicial sector; the endeavoring for rule of law and justice sector works; being undertaking responsibility as the chairperson of the Bar Council; the necessary facts for amending the Bar Council Act and promoting the capacities of lawyers; the cooperation with the Ministry of Justice of Japan and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for the development of legal affairs and human resources; and then the Ex-Minister of Justice and Parliament Representative also discussed frankly that it is important that the legal system is to be good and strong for the construction and development of the State; and more cooperation will, therefore, be made in the legal sector; they will provide assistance in the necessary sectors, including the human resource for the sustainable development of Myanmar; mutual coordination will be made for more investment of Japanese entrepreneurs in Myanmar.
The responsible person from the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and JICA, and permanent secretary Daw Nu Nu Yin and responsible persons from the Union Attorney General’s Office also attended in this meeting.
