Holding the Second Meeting of the Coordination Body for Rule of Law Centres and the Performance of the Justice Sector

          The second meeting of the Coordination Body for Rule of Law Centres and the performance of the Justice Sector was held in the meeting hall of the Union Attorney General’s Office at 9:30 am here this morning.
During the meeting, H.E U Tun Tun Oo, the Attorney General of the Union, Chairman of the Coordination Body for Rule of Law Centers and the performance of the Justice Sector delivered a speech that not only courts, law offices, police force and lawyers but also Hluttaw, government organizations, civil society organizations and the public need to participate in promoting rule of law and justice sector; our body will strive to perform duties on promoting rule of law and the performance of the justice sector in coordination with the respective government departments, local and international organizations effectively; and also pay close attention to perform in rule of law and the performance of the justice sector in the regions by forming working groups in the respective regions and states to perform duties effectively; our body will form an advisory group including secretariat and external experts in order to support the functions of the secretary; in addition our body will set up action plan to be implemented and finally, invited guests discussed respectively.
Local and international organizations participating in rule of law and the performance of the justice sector will be invited to the next meetings in order to continue to discuss related matters for implementing and coordination. The Chairman, Vice-chairman and members of the Coordination Body for Rule of Law Centre and the performance of the Justice Sector, the authorities from UNDP and My Justice Team and invited guests attended the meeting.
