Holding the Closing Ceremony of Refresher Training Course (1/2018) for Mid-level Law Officers, the Union Attorney General’s Office

          H.E. U Tun Tun Oo, the Attorney General of the Union attended the closing ceremony of refresher training course (1/2018) for mid-level law officers held at the training hall of the Union Attorney General’s Office at 10:00 am today and delivered the closing speech.

          In the closing speech, he instructed that law officers need to be skilled in legislative drafting and scrutinizing documents besides prosecution works. Because of learning practically in respect of drafting bill, tendering advice, facts to be contained and policies to be vet in the documents in the training, the trainees can exercise them effectively in their fields. And then they have the right to study and discuss procedures, orders and directives of prosecution and learn about pre-trial opinion, appeal case, revision case, review case and submission of plaintiff and written statement. This training is beneficial for the trainees because UNDP, JICA and USAID lectured the criminal investigation, fair trail standards, intellectual property, insurance law, labour law and case management and local jurists lectured about money laundering, safeguarding women and prosecution subject. The law officers shall, in accordance with the law, carry out functions and duties simply and correctly without impartially and behave in accordance with the codes of ethics for law officers and try to be qualified servants.

          The Attorney General of the Union awarded the prizes to trainees who got the prize in training. Deputy Attorney General U Win Myint, Permanent Secretary, Directors General, Deputy Directors General, Directors, trainers and 35 trainees also attended this closing ceremony.
