H.E. U Tun Tun Oo, the Attorney General of the Union, met the law officers from Rakhine State in the Rakhine State Advocate General’s Office at 11 a.m. on 22December, and instructed them the matters relating to work.
In the meeting, he instructed the law officers to adhere and exercise the Fair Trial Standards in carrying out prosecution, to protect the legal rights of the people, to emphasize to tender legal advice completely and correctly before trial, to produce evidence completely, to convict the offenders in accordance with the evidence, to carry out the work free from corruption and perform it in accordance with the Code of Ethics for Law Officers.
The State Advocate General, Director Generals, law officers and staff from the State Advocate General’s Office and Sittwe District attended this meeting.
H.E. U Tun Tun Oo, the Attorney General of the Union, attended the opening ceremony of the new Maungtaw District Law Office which are held at Maungtaw, Rakhine State at 11 a.m. on 23 December and delivered a speech. And the Attorney General of the Union, the Chief Minister of Rakhine State, the persons responsible cut the ceremonial ribbons, and sprinkled scented water.
In the opening ceremony, the Attorney General of the Union said that office buildings and staff housings are being established by the country for the elevation of physical and mental of the staff, he thanked the State Government and persons responsible for constructing the new Maungtaw District Law Office to spend 90.005 million in capital allotted by the Rakhine State Government for the 2017 2018 financial year,24 law offices and 13 housings have been constructed until 2018 in Rakhine State, the staff must maintain the law offices and housings, he congratulated the staff from the Maungtaw District Law Office for cooperating with Data(D)i Office I (3) /Website the Township Administrative Organization in full time in the process of terrorism of Maungtaw District, and for striving to be adjudicated the crimes quickly, and the staff must carry out their functions and duties for the public interests.
The Rakhine State Chief Minister U Nyi Pu, Finance, Revenue, Planning and Economic Minister U Kyaw Aye Thein, Minister for Development Affairs U Win Myint, the State Chief Justice, the State Advocate General, the State Law Officer, law officers from district and townships attended this opening ceremony.
