H.E. U Tun Tun Oo, the Attorney General of the Union attended the Sixth Coordination Meeting between the Attorney General of the Union and Advocates General of the Regions/ States, Regions/ States Law Officers and District Law Officers holding in the meeting hall of the Union Attorney General ‘s Office at 9:30 a.m., and delivered a speech.
In delivering the speech, the Attorney General of the Union said that we must try hard in any sector where we undertake for the Union Government operates emphatically the national reconciliation, and national peace, to establish a Democratic Federal Union, and to develop living standards of the public; the Union Attorney General ‘s Office has been undertaking successfully its functions and duties within the third year terms of the government; the Myanmar Law Information System was established for accessing to legal information to all; the crime management system was exercised not for delaying in cases by establishing the pilot law offices; the Regions/ States Advocate General’s Offices need to scrutinize Bills drafted by the government organizations concerned in accordance with the Constitution, and laws enacted by the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw; the law officers need to study the existing laws and amendment laws in detail, and adhere the Attorney General Rule as Law Officers’ Manual; the facts shall be submitted completely in appearing original cases, and filing appeal and revision cases, they must adhere the Tender Procedures Directive 1/ 2017 issued by the President’s Office exactly when operating their works with the Union budget; the law officers must adhere the finance management regulations; they must supervise to be free from corruption at different levels of law offices; the Corruption Prevention Units (CPU) was constituted in the Union Attorney General’s Office, and it prevents the possible situations of corruption , and takes action on the complaints; the law officers must try to be good law officers and staff in order to be an institution which is protected the public by law.
The Deputy Attorney General , Advocates General of Regions/ States, Permanent Secretary, Directors General, Deputy Directors General, Directors, Region/ State Law Officers and District Law Officers also attended this meeting.
