The Deputy Attorney General U Win Myint attends and delivers a speech at the opening ceremony of Refresher Course No.31 for law officers grade-3

       The Deputy Attorney General U Win Myint attended and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of Refresher Course No.31 for law officers grade-3 held at the ground floor meeting hall of the Union Attorney General’s Office at 9:30 a.m. this morning.
In the speech, the Deputy Attorney General said that the aims of this training are to enhance the ability of staff officers/ township law officers at the Union Attorney General’s Office, and Region/ State and Township Law Offices to serve in accordance with the Union Attorney General Law and rules and to learn methods for searching laws, subordinate legislation of the Union laws, precedents or treaties on the Union Attorney General’s Office and KOICA Myanmar Law Information System website. He also instructed the law officers to undertake their functions in accordance with the existing laws, policies and guidelines of the State; to study laws and office administration for broader understanding ; to give pre-trial legal advice, conduct, withdraw and close cases, file revision or appeal cases without corruption in accordance with laws; to redress grievances of plaintiffs and protect the rights of the accused in accordance with laws for justice; to cooperate with the relevant departments and organizations to strengthen the rule of law and justice sector; to become qualified law officers; to perform duties efficiently by abiding by the Code of Ethics for civil servants and Code of Ethics for law officers; and to endeavor to improve professional qualifications by developing a good mindset.
The Permanent Secretary, Directors General, Deputy Directors General, Directors, trainers from the Union Attorney General’s Office and 31 trainees attended the opening ceremony. The training will last for 4 weeks.
