Holding the Donation Ceremony of Distance Learning Equipment from U.S. Embassy to the Office of the Attorney General of the Union

The donation ceremony of distance learning equipment from U.S. Embassy to the Office of the Attorney General of the Union was held in the meeting hall of the Office of the Attorney General of the Union at 11:30 a.m. today.

In this ceremony, Charge’ d’ Affaires Mr.George Sibley from U.S. Embassy said about the purpose of providing distance learning equipment, and ongoing cooperative activities between U.S. Embassy and UAGO. The Attorney General of the Union also said that the equipment is helpful for the development of distance learning for law officers in the Office of the Attorney General of the Union; especially, the equipment is very useful for functions of the Office of the Attorney General of the Union and upgrading the skills of law Officers during the Covid-19 Pandemic period as well as beyond the Covid-19 period; he was grateful to the U.S. Embassy for providing not only technical but also such physical assistance to upgrade the skills of law Officers and for providing the equipment to the Offices of the Advocate General of the Regions and States in Taungyi, Loikaw, Magwae, Hakha, Hpa-an, Dawei and Sittwe in addition to Nay Pyi Taw.

In this ceremony, the U.S. Embassy transferred $ 30,000 in eight items of distance learning equipment to the Office of the Attorney General of the Union, and responsible persons from the Office of the Attorney General of the Union and U.S. Embassy attended the ceremony.
