The delegation of the Office of the Attorney General of the Union attended the 40th Session of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law UNCTIRAL Working Group Ill held at the Vienna International Centre, Austria from 4.5.2021 to 5.5.2021 via video conferencing according to invitation.
The Working Group Ill implemented the workplan for the Reform of
Investor- State Dispute Settlement from 2017; preparing the draft on the Reform of Procedural Rules including complaints between the investor and the State, counter complaints, settlement and decision, insurance for court expenses, incurring fund from third party / organization and interpretation of treaty in the said workplan and shall be submitted to the UNCITRAL Commission.
The member states discussed the said workplan to be finalized within 2025.
The Deputy Directors General and Directors of the Office of the Attorney General of the Union virtually joined the meeting.
