Holding the Opening Ceremony of the Training Course on Appearing in Civil Cases of the Ministry of Legal Affairs

The Ministry of Legal Affairs held the Opening Ceremony of the Training Course on Appearing in Civil Cases No. 1/2021 this afternoon at the Ministry of Legal Affairs for implementation of legal awareness programmes with the guidance of Chairman of the State Administration Council.

At the opening ceremony, H.E. Dr. Thida 00, the Union Minister of the Ministry of Legal Affairs and Attorney General of the Union said that the Ministry of Legal Affairs provides various training courses for officers in order to implement legal awareness programmes with the guidance of Chairman of the State Administration Council; the objectives of this course are to implement one of the goals of Strategic Plan (2020-2024) that is enhancing staff capacity and to ensure that law officers give legal advice and appear in accordance with law on behalf of the Union in original civil cases, civil appeal cases, civil revision cases and special civil appeal cases in which the Union is involved as the plaintiff or the defendant; and law officers who appear on behalf of the Union in cases in which the Union is involved as the plaintiff or the defendant are responsible for prevailing in the cases and avoiding loss and damage to the Union and she also encouraged trainees to carefully study on trainers’ instructions.

Directors General, Deputy Directors General, Directors, trainers and trainees attended the opening ceremony and the duration of training course will last 11 days.
