17 April, Nay Pyi Taw
The Paritta recitation and listening ceremony was held in front of the office precinct on the 1st day of the Myanmar New Year for the officers and staff of the Ministry of Legal Affairs and their families, Nay Pyi Taw, to be free from dangers at 3:00 p.m.; first, the Union Minister and Attorney General of the Union, H.E. Dr.Thida Oo, Directors General from the Ministry’s Office and Departments, Deputy Directors General and Directors took the Five Percepts from the Sayadaws; afterwards, the invited Sayadaws recited Paritta and Kammavacas to be free from dangers.
Later, all guests, led by the Union Minister and Attorney General of the Union donated offerings to the invited Sayadaws. Then, they shared merits by pouring water and closed the ceremony after reciting “Buddha Sasanam ciram tithatu” three times.
