The Chairman of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) Report Preparation Working Committee, the Union Attorney General H.E. U Tun Tun Oo delivered the speech at the second meeting of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) Report Preparation Working Committee , held in the meeting hall of the Union Attorney General’s Office at 10:00 a.m . today.
In his speech, the Union Attorney General said that Myanmar’s UPR Report is being prepared in accordance with the guidance of the National Level Committee ; the relevant Working Committees sent facts and papers to be included in the report, to the Paper Preparation Working Committee; the Paper Preparation Working Committee prepared a draft paper based on such facts and papers and sent it to UPR Report Preparation Working Committee; the UPR Report Preparation Working Committee revised the draft paper and presented the revised draft at today ‘s meeting; if necessary , the attendees may coordinate With each other and give suggestions to improve the revised draft; the draft report improved in accordance with the suggestions shall be submitted to the National Level Committee; the UPR Report Preparation Working Committee will consult with UNagencies, international non-governmental organizations and civil societ organizations; the relevant departmental organizations need to provide complete and accurate data for the preparation of a comprehensive report.
Each departmental organization discussed the draft report and made suggestions sectorially to the Report Preparation Working Committee.
Members of the Repoti Preparation Working Committee and authorities from each relevant department also attended this meeting.
