H.E. U Tun Tun Oo, the Attorney General of the Union, received H.E Mr.Peter Lysholt Hansen, the Ambassador of Denmark to Myanmar at the meeting room of the Union Attorney General’s Office at 1:00 a.m. here this morning.
In the meeting, they discussed the work performance of the Coordination Body for the Rule of Law Centre and Justice Sector chaired by the Attorney General of the Union, activities under UAGO’s strategy ” Moving Forward to the Rule of Law,” issue of the Code of Ethics for law officers, establishment of Pilot Court, setting out the fair trial standards, implementation under the MoU signed by the Union Attorney General’s Office and the Embassy of Denmark, legal advice of the Union Attorney General’s Office on the law initially drafted by the ministries in 2008 and providing training for law officers from the Legislative Vetting Department to improve their capacity.
U Win Myint, Deputy Attorney General and Daw Nu Nu Yin , Permanent Secretary also attended this meeting.
