Union Attorney General receives H.E. Mr. Daniel Patrick Chugg, Ambassador of Britain and Mr. Peter Batchelor, Resident Representative of UNDP Separately

      H.E. U Tun Tun Oo, the Attorney  General  of the Union received  separately H.E. Deniel Patrick Chugg, the Ambassador of Britain at 9:30 am and Mr. Peter Batchelor, the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) at 10:30 a.m. in the meeting hall of the Union Attorney General’s Office.

     In  the meeting with the Ambassador of Britain, they frankly discussed matters on the functions and duties of the Union Attorney General Office; projects on the rule of law and justice undertaken by the UAGO; cooperation with the relevant prosecuting bodies in cases prosecuted under the Anti-Money Laundering Law; participation of the UAGO in the processes of the Financial Action Task  Force (FATF) and Asia Pacific Group (APG), and cooperation with the relevant organizations and departments in preventing and eradicating transnational crimes.

     In the meeting with Mr. Peter Batchelor, the Resident Representative of UNDP, they frankly discussed about cooperation between UNDP and the Union Attorney General Office; the achievement of this cooperation, future cooperation and training for law officers.

     The Deputy Attorney General U Win Myint, Permanent Secretary Daw Nu Nu Yin, Director General Daw Khin Cho Ohn and Director U Kyaw Thu Hein  also attended this meeting.
