H.E. Dr. Thida Oo, the Union Minister and Attorney General of the Union received Mr. Arnaud De Baecque, Resident Representative of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to Myanmar and Ms. Samindika Dilani Elkaduwe, legal coordinator at 10:00 a.m. today in the meeting hall of the Ministry of Legal Affairs according to the notification of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, letter No.31 38/01/2025 (2230) dated on 13.10.2025.
During the meeting, they discussed the technical and legal aspects of the translation of the Geneva Convention from English into Myanmar Language by the Ministry of Legal Affairs, the Office of the Judge Advocate General and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)-Tripartite and the possibility of holding a workshop on International Humanitarian Law (IHL) and legal affairs jointly by the International Committee of the Red Cross, the Ministry of Legal Affairs, the Office of the Judge Advocate General and other relevant departments.
The Union Minister and Attorney General of the Union, Deputy Minister and Deputy Attorney General, Deputy Judge Advocate General, Directors General and Directors of the Ministry of Legal Affairs attended the meeting.
