H.E. U Tun Tun Oo, the Attorney General of the Union received Mr. Joe Rolling from UK’s Department of International Development (DFID) and Ms. Morgane Landel, Country Manager from IDLO at the International Call Chamber of the Union Attorney General’s Office at 10:00 a.m. this morning.
During the meeting, they discussed the Rule of Law Centers’ participation in providing public legal awareness and strengthening access to justice; cooperation with sub-coordination bodies for Rule of Law and Justice Sector Affairs in each Region and State; the financial assistance programme of DFID for Rule of Law Centers; organizing legal discussion forums and training nationwide and the ongoing cooperative activities between IDLO and Union Attorney General’s Office.
Daw Nu Nu Yin, the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Thidar Oo, the Director General and Dr. Thi Thi Myint, the Deputy Permanent Secretary also attended this meeting.
