The opening ceremony of the second workshop on developing the action plan of the Working Committee on drafting the National Land Law and harmonization of the laws related to Land Management was held at the Royal Naypyitaw Hotel this morning .
The Deputy Attorney General H.E. U Win Myint, the Vice Chairman of the working committee addressed the workshop and said that “Drafting the National Land Law in accordance with the National Land Use Policy” is included in the functions of the National Land Use Council; the previous workshop on developing the action plan of the Working Committee was held on 19.12.2019 and 20.12.2019 to implement drafting of the National Land Law and 25 topics were discussed topic by topic to take responsibility for the tasks to be carried out; this workshop was held to develop the action plan completely that was not finished in the previous workshop; participation of public including interested persons is crucial in drafting the National Land Law according to the National Land Use Policy; developing this action plan is carried out in line with the policy; and he believes that the outcomes of this workshop can be helpful in drafting the National Land Law.
Deputy Minister U Kyaw Myo, Ministry of Transport and Communications, Nay Pyi Taw Council member U Aye Mg Sein, members of the Working Committee and the supporting working group, Hluttaw representatives from the Pyithu Hluttaw and Amyotha Hluttaw, technical advisors and representatives from the civil societies attended the workshop and it is going to be held till January 30.
