Holding the Coordination Meeting to Review Myanmar’s Third Cycle Report on Human Rights

The Universal Period Review Working Group held the coordination meeting to review the Myanmar’s third cycle report on human rights at the meeting room of the Office of the Attorney General of the Union at 13:00 p.m. this afternoon. All the committee members attended this meeting.

In the speech of the Attorney General of the Union, the leader of Myanmar delegation said the Myanmar’s third cycle report on human rights was submitted to the UPR Working Group of UNHRC on 7 October 2020; the Myanmar’s third cycle report was reviewed on 25 January 2021 during the 37th meeting of Working Group; the officials from the Permanent Representative of Myanmar Office in Geneva will attend such meeting and the representatives from Myanmar will join the session via video conferencing because of Covid-19; Myanmar delegation need to make necessary preparation because they will answer the question during the review session; the department to be answered the questions and subject matters will be determined in this meeting; we have to cooperate to submit effectively with complete facts during the specified period.

Then, the attendees discussed about the work plans, the facts to answer and the matters to be continued.
