A field trip team led by Dr. Jonathan Liljeblad from the Australian National University (ANU) visits the Union Attorney General’s Office (UAGO)

A field trip team led by Dr. Jonathan Lilgeblad from the Australian National University (ANU) arrived at the Union Attorney General’s Office (UAGO) at 10 a.m. this morning and H.E U Tun Tun Oo, the Union Attorney General, received them.

In the meeting, they cordially discussed the functions and duties of the UAGO and rule of law matters, capacity building programmes for law officers from various levels of law offices being carried out in cooperation with the international development partners , further cooperation between the ANU and the UAGO in capacity building for law officers and opportunities of studying law.

The Deputy Attorney General, Permeant Secretary and Director General from the Legislative Vetting and Advising Department also attended the meeting.

In the field trip, the field trip team looked around departments of the UAGO and attended the presentations on the functions and duties of the UAGO given by the responsible persons.
