H.E. U Tun Tun Oo, the Attorney General of the Union attended the opening ceremony of the Refresher Course No. 32 for Law Officers, Grade-III held at the meeting hall of the Union Attorney General’s Office at 9:30a.m. this morning and delivered the opening speech.
In the opening speech, the Attorney General of the Union said that refresher courses are opened for the staff officers and township law officers who are performing duties at the Union Attorney General’s Office, Region or State and Township Law Offices in order to increase the capacity and perform their duties successfully; in addition to the subject of prosecution, office works, administrative affairs, account and budget, and Legal English are taught theoretically and practically in the training; law officers shall, in accordance with procedures, perform tendering legal advice before trial, appearing the cases, withdrawing, closing, filing the appeal or revision cases within the specified period; similarly, they need to tender legal advice properly requested by the relevant government departments and organizations; law officers solve the grievances of a plaintiff in accordance with law as well as they shall protect the right of a defendant; law officers shall spend the training period effectively by studying the subjects which are taught in the training.
The Deputy Attorney General, Directors General, Deputy Directors General, Directors, trainers, 35 trainees and invitees attended the opening ceremony, and the duration of the training will last four weeks.
