H.E . U Tun Tun Oo, the Attorney General of the Union received Mr. Martine Reik Witteveen, the Director of International Bridges to Justice (IBJ) and delegation in the International Call Chamber of the Union Attorney General ‘s Office at 10:00 a. m. today.
During the meeting, they discussed matters related to the rule of law; accessing to justice and providing legal aid; legal protection on plaintiffs and defendants ; getting legal aid by the defendant before prosecution or charge giving legal awareness and providing legal aid by the Rule of Law Centers and Justice Centers; current and future cooperation between the Union Attorney General’s Office and IBJ.
The Deputy Attorney General U Win Myint, Permanent Secretary Daw Nu Nu Yin and Director General Dr. Thida Oo also attended this meeting.
