The fourth seminar of the Union Attorney General, Region and State Advocates General, Region and State Law Officers and District Law Officers i s held at the meeting ball of the Union Attorney General’s Office at 9 : 30a.m. today.
ln the opening speech , the Union Attorney General said that our office is endeavoring for rule of law and justice , and to give good legal services which have accountability and responsibility to the public in accordance with the government policy. The law officers shall observe the fair trial standards, focus on the access to justice for all and equality before the law, perform their functions honestly and correctly, strive to be good law officers who are reliable by the public and are needed to supervise at the different levels. The functions and duties will be improved by presenting the functions performed by the departments and the Region and State Advocate General’s Office concerned, and discussing the difficulties they encountered in this seminar. He also said that the guideline for legal drafting will be published soon to support in vetting and advising the laws, the Code of Ethics for Law Officers and Fair Trial Guidebook for Law Officers have been published. The law officers shall safeguard the public right in complying with such ethics and standards in accordance with the law, perform their functions without corruption to be reliable on the law offices, cooperate with the relevant government departments and organizations , and local and international organizations to improve rule of law.
This seminar will be held for 2 days up to 23 .3.2018. The Deputy Attorney General, Region and State Advocates General, Permanent Secretary, Directors General, Deputy Directors General, Directors, Region and State Law Officers and District Law Officers totally 136 officials attended this seminar.
