The Closing Ceremony of the Internship Program No. (1) for the Law major specialization students from the Naypyitaw State Academy was held at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Legal Affairs this morning.
At the ceremony, H.E. Dr. Thida 00, the Union Minister and Attorney General of the Union addressed that, this closing ceremony is the conclusion of an internship program arranged by the Ministry of Legal Affairs for the law major specialization students from the Naypyitaw State Academy; the Ministry of Legal Affairs is performing its duties in accordance with its strategic plans which are Moving Forwards to the Rule of Law (20152019), Providing Legal Service for Justice (2020-2024), Building Legal Trust for the People (2025-2029), and collaboration with Universities is also one of the goal under theses strategic plans of the Ministry; previously, only legal awareness program were provided in various universities; however, in collaboration with the Faculty of Law from the Naypyitaw State Academy, this internship program was being conducted for the first time; the Ministry of Legal Affairs arranged this internship program for law major specialization students in line with the guidance to elevate the Naypyitaw State Academy to a higher standard than other universities; the 6-week internship program was held at the Minister’s Office and 4 Departments of the Ministry of Legal Affairs; moreover, as part of the training the Ministry of Legal Affairs arranged visits to the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw, Pyithu Hluttaw, Amyothar Hluttaw, the Supreme Court of the Union, the Constitutional Tribunal of the Union, District and Township Courts, the National Library, the library of Ministry of Legal Affairs, the E-library of Legal Advocacy Centre which are organizations affiliated with the Ministry of Legal Affairs; she hopes that, although interns may not gain complete knowledge thoroughly during this limited period, but the knowledge gained from this internship may contribute to their professional career.
The Directors General and the responsible persons from the Ministry of Legal Affairs, Rector Dr. Nu Nu Lwin, Professor (Head) of the Faculty of Law, Nay Pyi Taw State Academy and responsible persons and 9 law major specialization students attended the closing ceremony.
