The Coordination Meeting concerning the Law Amending the Motion Picture Law (draft) was held in the meeting hall of the Ministry of Legal Affairs at 10 a.m. this morning.
The Union Minister of the Ministry of Legal Affairs and Attorney General of the Union, H.E. Dr. Thida Oo, the Deputy Minister and Deputy Attorney General Dr. Htain Lin Oo, the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Information, U Ye Tint, Director General of the Legislative Vetting Department Dr. Thida San, Director General of the Information and Public Relations Department, U Aye Kywe and responsible persons from the Ministry of Legal Affairs attended the meeting.
Finalizing the Discussion
In the meeting, the Law Amending the Motion Picture Law (draft) was scrutinized and discussed for finalization; there was agreement in principle to enact the Law Amending the Motion Picture Law (draft) as necessary amendments were found and discussed the need for further scrutiny to ensure correctness and consistency with the basic principle of legal drafting due to the numerous chapters and sections to be amended, repealed and inserted.
