The opening ceremony of the basic training course for scrutinizing commercial contracts No. l/ 2021 of the Office of the Attorney General of the Union was held at the meeting hall of the Office of the Attorney General of the Union at 1:00 p.m. this afternoon. H.E Dr. Thida 00, the Attorney General of the Union delivered a speech at the meeting.
In her speech, the Attorney General of the Union said that this training course aim to ensure that the officers serving in the respective departments of the Office Attorney General of the Union understand the process of scrutinizing commercial contracts to give efficient legal advice on commercial contracts in timely manner when scrutinizing them and to provide qualified legal advice, in accordance with goal 2: objective 2.1 of “Providing Legal Service For Justice” the Strategic Plan (20212024) of the Office of the Attorney General of the Union. She expressed that she believes this course will be beneficial for law officers to scrutinize the draft commercial contracts effectively to provide qualified legal advice in scrutinizing the draft contracts between Government Organizations and local or foreign investors through effective process without delay. She reiterated that the Office of the Attorney General of the Union is endeavoring to enhance the qualification of law officers serving in the different levels of law office individually, to have better cooperation within departments and coordinate with the partners in performing functions and duties effectively as this office is an organization taking part in the Legislature, Executive and Judiciary, and that the Office of the Attorney General of the Union has to give legal advice on the draft commercial contracts to be valid, to have mutual trust among business entities and to ensure that there is no loss on both sides in accordance with the existing laws, rules and regulations. She highlighted that the commercial contracts may vary according to the nature of work. Then, she urged that the attendees should follow the lectures carefully throughout the course to enhance their qualifications through the understanding of the basic legal concepts of scrutinizing the commercial contracts.
U San Lwin, the Deputy Attorney General, Director Generals, Deputy Director Generals, Directors and attendees attended the opening ceremony. The duration of the course is one week.
