The Seventh meeting of the Legal Translation Commission was held at the Meeting Hall of the Office of the Attorney General of the Union at 10:00 a.m. this morning.
In the address of the Deputy Attorney General U Win Myint, on behalf of the Attorney General of the Union, he said that the Legal Translation Commission has formed the working committees and working groups to translate the existing laws in English version to Myanmar version; this meeting is the Seventh meeting of the Commission; in the meeting, we will discuss and approve the translated Myanmar version submitted by the working groups and working committees; the functions of the Legal Translation Commission have been carried out continuously; out of the laws to be translated, 24 laws have been translated into Myanmar version and published them; the approved laws were published publicly; they have been distributed up to Book No. 7; the translated Myanmar versions approved and published by the Commission are as legal as the original laws; the laws to be translated into Myanmar version are specified as the first priority, second priority and third priority systematically; the functions of the legal translation were carried out successfully due to the efforts of all the members of the Commission and working committees; he urged the members of the Commission to give suggestions related to the translated Myanmar versions submitted in the meeting.
The members of the Legal Translation Commission and invited guests attended the meeting. The meeting will take 2 days.
