A virtual meeting was held between H.E. U Tun Tun Oo, the Attorney General of the Union and, Ms. Tone Tinnes, Norwegian Ambassador at 10:30 a.m. this morning.
At this meeting, they discussed the progress of peace process in Myanmar and assistance provided by the Kingdom of Norway; ongoing activities of the Office of the Attorney General of the Union for the implementation of the recommendations in the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) and submission of a report; the matters being undertaken by the Investigation and Litigation Unit formed to implement the recommendations in the report of Independent Commission of Enquiry (ICOE); the matters to be carried out cooperatively by the Office of the Attorney General of the Union and the Royal Norwegian Embassy.
H.E. U Win Myint, the Deputy Attorney General and Dr. Thida Oo, the Permanent Secretary also attended this meeting.
