Closing Ceremony on Training Course No, 1/2021 of Legislative Drafting, and Scrutinizing and Advising Laws (Draft) of the Office of the Attorney General of the Union

H.E. Dr. Thida 00, the Attorney General of the Union attended the Closing Ceremony on Training Course No. 1/2021 of Legislative Drafting, and Scrutinizing and Advising Laws (Draft) of the Office of the Attorney General of the Union held at 1 p.m. and delivered the opening speech.

In the opening speech, she said that the Office of the Attorney General of the Union set the goals of the Strategic Plan (2020-2024), we strive to produce the qualified law officers for upgrading their qualification and giving legal advice effectively to the ministries concerned, this training course provided by the Legislative Drafting and Advising Department is one of the courses provided by e the relevant departments of the office, the Office of the Attorney General of the Union takes great pleasure for providing the training course successfully, the facts “Drafting will never be complete when draftsman only drafts the laws although he/she has drafting experience, and the laws must be drafted in line with the system of the successive ages” are described in the Legislative Guidance published in November 2019, these facts are to be noticed in drafting and scrutinizing the draft laws, I am convinced that the trainees will have the perspective of a draftsman in approaching a law and they will have the practices in drafting such as spirit of law, consistency, arrangement, rigid and implementation of a law, the Deputy Attorney General and Director General also gave a lecture on their experience, the Deputy Director General and Directors shared their experiences and gave practical exercises, I am very pleased with the interests of the trainees, in conclusion, I would like to encourage the trainees to be impressive law officers by gaining knowledge from this training course and a continuous study of drafting for the. Office of the Attorney General of the Union and the State.
