The opening ceremony of On-the-Job Training Course No.1/2026 for Law Officers Grade-4 (Probation) was held at the MOLA Lecture Hall of Legal Advocacy Center of Legal Advocacy Department under the Ministry of Legal Affairs this morning.
The Union Minister and Attorney General of the Union H.E. Dr. Thida Oo, Deputy Minister and Deputy Attorney General, Permanent Secretary, Directors General, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Deputy Directors General, Directors of the Ministry of Legal Affairs and trainees attended the ceremony.
Firstly, the Union Minister and Attorney General of the Union addressed that the On-the-Job Training Course for Law Officers Grade-4 (Probation) is conducted with the aim of enabling participants to take part in the implementation of the strategic plans adopted by the Ministry of Legal Affairs, to carry out prosecutions in accordance with the code of Ethics for Law Officers and fair trial standards, and especially to enhance their capacity and prosecutorial skill; the training period will be from 6 March to 29 April 2026, covering a total of 37 net teaching days and 259 lecture sessions; the subjects will include Administration, Budget, Finance, Legal English, Penal Code, Code of Criminal Procedure, Special and General Laws, Evidence Act, Code of Civil Procedure, Prosecution Functions, Practical litigation (Moot Court) and heads of the departments of the Ministry of Legal Affairs will deliver lectures on their respective departmental operations; the subjects on Forensic Medicine and Criminal Investigation will be delivered as special lectures by the CID; the top three trainees with the highest scores will be awarded; and she urged all trainees to actively participate in the training in order to achieve effective prosecution by integrating the theoretical knowledge gained at university with the practical skills taught in this course.
