The Ministry of Legal Affairs and the Ministry of Health jointly held a knowledgesharing seminar on diabetes and hypertension this afternoon at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Legal Affaris.
The medical Superintendent, Professor Dr. Ye Myint from 1,000 bedded Nay Pyi Taw General Hospital, gave a lecture on “Things to know about diabetes and hypertension,” and Dr. Than Lwin Tun, Deputy Director General of the Department of Medical Services, discussed the topic on “How to fight Age-Related Problems”, and they also discussed the preventive measures for diabetes and hypertension, the factors that can affect health due to the seasonal change, and the participants asked them what they wanted to know.
Then, Dr. Thida Oo, the Union Minister and Attorney General of the Union said that we had the opportunity to learn about the causes of and preventive measures for diabetes and hypertension in addition to life and dietary patterns in our daily life, the effects of seasonal changes on health through this seminar. She also expressed her special gratitude to the lecturers for sharing the knowledge about health that leads not only the individual but also the family and the community to a healthy lifestyle.
Dr. Thida Oo, the Union Minister and Attorney General of the Union; Dr. Htin Lin Oo, the Deputy Minister and Deputy Attorney General, the Director General of the Minister’s Office, the Directors General of Departments, the Deputy Permanent Secretary, the Deputy Directors General, the Directors and staff attended the seminar.
Moreover, it was reported that the team led by Prof. Dr. Khin Maung from Nay Pyi Taw Dental Specialist Hospital diagnosed dental diseases, and the team led by Associate Professor Dr. Khin Sanda from 1,000-bedded Nay Pyi Taw General Hospital diagnosed diabetes in the staff of the Ministry of Legal Affairs at designated places in the morning.
